Pharmacy school loan forgiveness: Healthcare reform offers students new hope

With NHSC eligibility, pharmacy students would see forgiveness of up to $35,000 per year of pharmacy school loans for every year of service in certain areas designated by NHSC as medically underserved. Eligibility would also change the way other healthcare providers view pharmacists, said Kevin Carrasco, second-year student at Touro University College of Pharmacy, Vallejo, Calif.
